Spagheti scramble
Eating breakfast gives kids the energy they need to play and learn better. This tasty breakfast combines two family favourites – spaghetti and scrambled eggs. The kids can be involved by putting the bread into the toaster and buttering it, cracking the eggs into the bowls (note: you may need to check for shells) and if they are old enough, and are supervised closely by parents, they could even mix the spagetti, egg and cheese in the frying pan!
For 2-4 people

In a bowl, mix together 4 eggs, 2 tablespoons milk, and a little black pepper. Put aside for use later.
Spray a non-stick pan with a little oil and heat over a medium heat.
Cook 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped green pepper in the pan until soft.
Add 1 can spaghetti and cook until warm.
Add egg mixture to pan. Gently stir occasionally. Be careful not to burn. Keep cooking until egg is firm and cooked through.
Sprinkle over 2 tablespoons grated cheese.
Serve with toast triangles.

3 in 1 biscuits
You can make three different biscuits with the one biscuit mixture with this easy recipe. Add red food colouring to make the pink swirl biscuits or add cocoa to make the chocolate swirl biscuits. Easy and yum!
Makes 36
Ingredients:
250g butter, softened
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2.5 cups plain flour
8-10 drops red food colouring
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
Method:
Cream the butter and sugar together with a spoon in a bowl or using an electric mixer. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the flour and mix until a smooth dough forms.
Divide the dough into four. Colour one portion by kneeding in the red food colouring and colour another portion with cocoa powder.
Wrap the four dough portions separately in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
Roll each piece of dough on a floured surface into a rectangle shape about 18cm x 20cm. To make swirly biscuits, place the pink dough on top of the plain dough, trim edges into a neat rectangle and roll into a log.
Repeat with the other plain dough and chocolate dough. To make the marbled biscuits, knead the trimmings together and roll into a log.
Slice the logs into 5mm width biscuits. Place biscuits on baking trays and cook for about 15 minutes until golden.
Tips:
- • These are lovely vanilla flavoured biscuits with the added attraction of colour and ‘movement’! Great fun for the kids to help with colouring, kneading, rolling and slicing.
- • When cutting use a serrated bread knife, using a very light slicing action
- • You can make these gluten-free using gluten-free plain flour
