The NZ Treasury, with the support of the Pacific Business Trust, is holding an historical meeting to set a platform for more collaboration and engagement with the Pacific community.
Taking place on Wednesday 13 July 2016 with Pacific stakeholders and leaders, Treasury is hoping that this collaboration yields pathways and opportunities that could be promoted across government.
This is to enable Pacific people to achieve equitable and sustainable living standards in the next five to 20 years.
The Treasury’s goal is raising living standards for all New Zealanders, and working with other sectors is the key towards achieving this ambition.
The Pacific Business Trust is a not for profit Charitable Trust set up in 1985, providing economic development services for Pacific Businesses and Business People within New Zealand.
This gathering of thought leaders will open the opportunity for Pacific and community leaders to share their thoughts, suggestions and advice on the economic pathways, opportunities and initiatives that Treasury could actively promote across government.
It is aimed towards enabling Pacific people to effectively achieve equitable and sustainable living standards for themselves, their families and the wider community.
This meeting marks the beginning of Treasury’s engagement with the New Zealand Pacific economic community.
When: Wednesday 13 July 2016
