Valerie Vili is among the more than 400 athletes, announced today, who will receive the Prime Minister's Sport Scholarship for 2010
Sport Minister Murray McCully has announced the more than 400 athletes, coaches and officials who will receive a Prime Minister's Sport Scholarship this year.
Athletes will receive up to $10,000 to cover tertiary fees and a living allowance of $2,000 for six months.
Other recipients will get up to $50,000 a year for up to three years, all from a pool of just over $4 million.
This year's recipients include Olympic and world champion shot putter Valerie Vili; hockey international Simon Child; Silver Ferns netballer Laura Langman; Paralympic swimmer Cameron Leslie, and cyclist Tom Scully.
