Looking Good Baby Photo Competition- Voting is open
Here’s a great opportunity to show your support for the breastfeeding mums in New Zealand. You can vote for your favourite photo in a great online competition. We want to show that breastfeeding is completely natural.
Mums from all over the country are being encouraged to enter the competition by submitting photos of themselves breastfeeding outdoors or at a landmark location. It’s about increasing support for breastfeeding, because breast milk gives
babies the best start in life. It helps them
to grow, both physically and emotionally, and to stay healthy.
New Zealand has been divided into eight regions for the competition: Northland, Auckland, Upper Central North Island, Lower Central North Island, Wellington, Upper South Island, Canterbury/South Canterbury, Otago/Southland. One winner and one runner up will be chosen from each region.
Because the competition has a regional flavour, many mums will take the opportunity to show off the scenery. They’re encouraged to be photographed at a well-known landmark such as a beach, an historical building, by a mountain or lake, or anywhere with a beautiful backdrop. That means the photos should be pretty awesome!
The winner in each region will receive a canvas print of their photo and a $250 Farmers gift card. Runners up will receive $100 Farmers gift cards. Winners will be chosen by public vote through the Breastfeeding New Zealand Facebook page at www.facebook.com/breastfeedingnz. One lucky voter will also win a $100 Farmers gift card.
