“Always happy to be back here in New Zealand – our acts have slightly changed since we were last here but it’s still a great show with more energy, technicality and fun filled antics, which in this type of industry isn’t new, but is always a refreshing experience for those new coming to see the circus.
So how’s it been, now back in New Zealand.
“Timing and location – has been huge factors for us since we’ve been back, unfortunately it’s been a bit slow than what we’re normally use to due to the Christmas holidays – many of the public aren’t available, have no money or don’t know that we’re here to see our new show – that’s very new to us, yet understandable and location has been also been tricky as we had to adapt towards council regulations and other obstacles – so location is key also”
And like any business you take the good with the bad and there’s always a blessing in disguise through the tough times.
“We’ve been blessed from our travels that we can still sustain travelling to other exotic countries and back to New Zealand as we do have family and friends here but in saying that I am more aware of when, where and how better to maximise our resources and time in promoting the Magic Circus of Samoa next time in New Zealand.
But when there’s time to play, there is always work to be done. The Magic Circus of Samoa are very independent when it comes to the wire – literally, not only do they perform and entertain their audience, but they’re also the heart of the Circus – the frontline staff.
“People don’t realise that we are a small team of 28 members and we don’t have the luxury of our own team to greet the public, do tickets and seat our guests. It’s a real family environment so everyone plays an important part and that’s why we’re a close unit, while aiming to provide excellent service from when you walk in, sit down and view the show – it’s pivotal to the business”
